  • Giants' Sterling Shepard: Tears ACL, done for season

Shepard suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in the Giants' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys and will miss the remainder of the season, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Just as the Giants had feared, Shepard fell victim to another significant lower-body injury in Monday's contest, after he had made a full recovery from the torn left Achilles' tendon he sustained last December to make it back for Week 1. The wideout will likely undergo surgery in the coming days, and even if he avoids any snags during the recovery process, his poor track record on the health front could make it difficult for the 29-year-old to earn meaningful guaranteed money on the open market when he hits free agency this offseason. With Shepard -- who led the Giants with 13 receptions for 154 yards through three games -- out of the picture, New York will have to hope that Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) and Kadarius Toney (hamstring) can overcome their own injuries to provide a needed lift to a struggling passing game, and it's possible Kenny Golladay could work his way back into the mix as well.

  • Justin Watson WR | HOU

Chiefs' Justin Watson: Gets just one target

Watson failed to corral his lone target while playing nine snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Colts.

After recording a 41-yard touchdown reception in last week's win over the Chargers, Watson was unable to come through with a splash play Sunday while taking the field for just 15 percent of the Chiefs' snaps on offense. So long as Kansas City has all of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman available at receiver, Watson will be unlikely to find himself on the field for even a third of the Chiefs' offensive plays in most games.

  • Mecole Hardman WR | BUF

Chiefs' Mecole Hardman: Minimal contribution against Colts

Hardman gathered in his only target for two yards during Sunday's 20-17 defeat versus the Colts.

Hardman didn't possess an injury tag leading up to the contest but notably was limited in practice during the week because of a heel issue. Even so, Hardman logged a season-high 43 snaps (69 percent) Sunday as the Chiefs struggled to move the ball on offense. Even with turnover at the wide receiver position from Tyreek Hill and Demarcus Robinson, Hardman has actually claimed fewer targets per game so far in 2022 (3.7) than he did last season (4.9).

  • Skyy Moore WR | GB

Chiefs' Skyy Moore: No targets, muffs punt in Week 3

Moore wasn't targeted across his eight snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Colts.

Moore has played just 10 offensive snaps over the Chiefs' last two games and hasn't been targeted in either contest. While Kansas City has all its passing-game options available, Moore looks like he'll be largely relegated to special-teams duties. Even his role as a return man could be on thin ice, as he had a muffed punt in the first quarter that set up the Colts' first touchdown of the day.

  • Ravens' Demarcus Robinson: Gets just one target Week 3

Robinson played 22 of the Ravens' 59 offensive snaps in Sunday's 37-26 win over the Patriots and failed to haul in his lone target.

Though he served as Baltimore's No. 3 receiver Sunday, Robinson was on the field for just 37 percent of the offensive plays. He continues to be hurt by the Ravens making frequent use of two-tight-end sets featuring standout Mark Andrews and rookie Isaiah Likely, the latter of whom has seen comparable snap shares to Robinson through each of the first three weeks. Expect the trend to continue moving forward, therefore making it difficult to extract much fantasy value from Robinson.

  • Giants' Sterling Shepard: Season may be over

Shepard is scheduled to undergo additional tests Tuesday on the left knee injury he suffered in Monday's 23-16 loss to the Cowboys, and the Giants fear that the receiver's season could be over, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Initial tests on Shepard's knee weren't conclusive, but the 29-year-old looks like he could be headed for another long-term absence after he was limited to just seven games in 2021 due to a hamstring injury, a left quadriceps injury and a torn Achilles' tendon. He made it back from Achilles surgery to suit up Week 1 this year, only to go down with a non-contact knee injury in the final minutes of Monday's loss. Through the first three weeks, Shepard had been the top receiver in a banged-up Giants wideout room, logging 13 receptions for 154 yards and a touchdown on 24 targets.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Cleared of long-term injury

St. Brown underwent tests on his right ankle Monday, and while the results were encouraging, the receiver's status for the Lions' Week 4 game against the Seahawks is uncertain, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

According to Pelissero, St. Brown isn't dealing with a long-term injury after rolling his right ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Vikings, but the 23-year-old could still be at risk of missing some time. The Lions will return to the practice field Wednesday, and if St. Brown is able to take part in at least a limited capacity, it would bode well for his chances of being available this weekend. The second-year player has been one of the NFL's most productive receivers through the first three weeks, accruing a 23-253-3 line on 33 targets.

  • Noah Brown WR | LV

Cowboys' Noah Brown: Commands seven targets

Brown recorded five receptions on seven targets for 54 yards in Monday's 23-16 win over the Giants.

Brown finished second on the team in targets, behind only CeeDee Lamb. While he was moderately productive, Brown narrowly missed a touchdown for the second consecutive game after he was tackled at the one-yard line late in the third quarter. Despite producing admirably through three weeks, Brown's involvement in the Cowboys' offense could be in jeopardy with Michael Gallup (knee) nearing his return to the field.

  • Richie James WR | KC

Giants' Richie James: Tallies 36 receiving yards

James recorded four receptions on five targets for 36 yards in Monday's 23-16 loss to the Cowboys.

James operated primarily in the short areas of the field, as his longest reception went for only 16 yards. While targets were distributed fairly evenly among the Giants' peripheral pass catchers Monday, James is a prime candidate to step into the potential void left by a knee injury to Sterling Shepard. James has racked up 146 receiving yards and commanded 17 targets in three games to this point in the campaign.

  • Jaelon Darden WR | SEA

Buccaneers' Jaelon Darden: Flashes with one catch

Darden secured his only target for 25 yards and returned three punts for 26 yards in the Buccaneers' 14-12 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Darden logged a season-high 18 snaps from scrimmage with the Buccaneers down three receivers, and he flashed his speed on his one reception by getting upfield down the right sideline for a 25-yard gain. He also continued to put in his usual strong work on special teams, now averaging an impressive 8.9 yards per punt return on his eight runbacks. Despite the splash play on offense, Darden could be back to minimal involvement from scrimmage in Week 4 if Mike Evans (suspension) and Julio Jones (knee) return as expected.
