  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Comes on late in loss

Samuel secured six of nine targets for 73 yards and rushed once for three yards in the 49ers' 34-24 loss to the Bills on Monday night.

Samuel led the 49ers in receptions while tying Brandon Aiyuk in targets on the night, but he made the majority of his noise in the second half. The second-year wideout was largely neutralized early yet was able to capitalize on what became a pass-heavy approach by San Francisco after it incurred a multi-possession deficit. Samuel has encouragingly put together a combined 17-206-0 line on 22 targets in the two games he's played since returning from a hamstring injury, and he'll look to continue adding to those totals against Washington in a Week 14 battle.

  • Stefon Diggs WR | WAS

Bills' Stefon Diggs: Piles up catches in win

Diggs brought in 10 of 11 targets for 92 yards in the Bills' 34-24 win over the 49ers on Monday night.

Diggs corralled a game-high number of receptions while checking in second in receiving yards to Cole Beasley. The prize offseason acquisition is being used in a possession role after averaging a career-high 12.0 yards per target with the Vikings in 2019, but his tally Monday night enabled him to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for the third straight season. Diggs also now has a trio of 10-catch efforts in 2020 and has logged double-digit targets in three of his past four contests. The sixth-year pro will look to carry over the momentum of Monday's performance into a tough matchup versus the Steelers in Week 14.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Excels in return

Aiyuk secured five of nine targets for 95 yards and a touchdown while also returning one punt for 16 yards in the 49ers' 34-24 loss to the Bills on Monday night.

The rookie had missed the Week 12 win over the Rams after testing positive for COVID-19 back on Nov. 20, and he showed no ill effects from the layoff while pacing the 49ers in receiving yards and tying fellow wideout Deebo Samuel for the team lead in targets. Aiyuk put his elite athleticism on display on more than one occasion Monday night, and despite the defending NFC champions' playoff hopes dimming further with the loss, it will be interesting to see what Aiyuk and Samuel can do with an extended stretch of games together to finish off the season, especially if Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) manages to return to action. Aiyuk's next chance to pad his rookie-season numbers comes in a Week 14 battle against Washington in San Francisco's temporary home of State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

  • Cole Beasley WR | NYG

Bills' Cole Beasley: Paces pass catchers in win

Beasley brought in nine of 11 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 34-24 win over the 49ers on Monday night.

The shifty veteran opened the scoring on the night for the Bills with a nifty five-yard touchdown grab early in the second quarter. Despite a temporary exit from the contest in the first half due to a possible head injury, Beasley ended up leading the Bills in receiving yardage while tying fellow wideout Stefon Diggs for the team lead in targets. It was the fourth 100-yard effort of the season for Beasley, who now needs 203 receiving yards over his last four games to post the first 1,000-yard campaign of his nine-year career. Beasley will look to inch closer to that benchmark in a challenging Week 14 Sunday night showdown against the Steelers.

  • Cardinals' KeeSean Johnson: Makes four catches Sunday

Johnson hauled in all four targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 38-28 defeat to the Rams.

With Larry Fitzgerald (illness) out for a second straight game, the Cardinals operated with four wide receivers on the majority of snaps Week 13. The development allowed Johnson to work with DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Andy Isabella, and he finished second on the team in catches and third in receiving yards. There's no telling when Fitzgerald will be ready to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, so Johnson may continue to play a large role in Arizona's offense Week 14 versus the Giants.

  • Cardinals' Andy Isabella: Held in check Sunday

Isabella tallied two receptions (on five targets) for seven yards during Sunday's 38-28 loss to the Rams.

Isabella has been active for all 12 of the Cardinals' games this season, but a minimal snap count in most of them has quelled his production. He has been given more of an opportunity the last two contests with Larry Fitzgerald (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list, topping out at a season-high 84 percent of the snaps on offense Sunday. Still, Isabella has only managed more than 14 yards once in the past seven outings, so he can't be trusted, even with extra chances to contribute.

  • Cardinals' Christian Kirk: Remains quiet Sunday

Kirk gathered in one of three targets for two yards during Sunday's 38-28 defeat to the Rams.

Since he put up 246 yards and five TDs in three games between Weeks 6 and 9, Kirk hasn't surpassed 50 yards or reached the end zone in any of the last four contests. In fact, his receiving line during that span is a pitiful 12-98-0 on 21 targets. Kirk continues to draw a significant snap count on a weekly basis and even received his largest share of the season Sunday (94 percent). He'll look to get back on track in a Week 14 visit to the Giants.

  • Stanley Morgan WR | TEN

Stanley Morgan: Shifts back to practice squad

Morgan reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

The 24-year-old made his second appearance of the season during a Week 13 matchup against the Dolphins, collecting two tackles over 19 special-teams snaps. Without experiencing any involvement on the offensive end, Morgan now shifts back to the practice squad as Cincinnati prepares for a Week 14 home game against the Cowboys.

  • Chase Claypool WR | BUF

Steelers' Chase Claypool: Only two catches

Claypool caught two of four targets for 38 yards in Monday's 23-17 loss to Washington.

Claypool's two catches both put Pittsburgh in good position to score. Although he didn't see many looks overall, the rookie again showed his big-play ability with a 30-yard gain on one of his grabs. He'll hope for more volume as the Steelers aim to rebound Week 14 versus the Bills.

  • Cole Beasley WR | NYG

    Bills' Cole Beasley: Returns Monday

Beasley has returned to Monday's matchup with the 49ers.

Beasley originally left the contest early in the first quarter in order to be evaluated for a head injury. He has presumably passed the medical staff's tests, as he is back on the field. Look for him to continue his usual role in the passing game assuming he avoids any setbacks.
