Blankenship finished his fourth season in the NFL with 83 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and an interception.
The former undrafted free agent has established himself as a key part of one of the league's best defenses, finishing third on the team in tackles for the second straight year and starting every game except Week 18, when the Eagles rested their starters. His tackle total improved by five compared to the previous season, though he did see his interceptions drop from four to one.

New England signed Sherfield to the practice squad Tuesday.
Sherfield appeared in 12 combined regular-season games between the Broncos and Cardinals in 2025, in which span he totaled three catches for 21 yards on five targets. The veteran wideout will now provide New England with additional depth in preparation for Sunday's divisional-round matchup against Houston.

D'Ernest Johnson: Signs to Pats' practice squad
New England signed Johnson to the practice squad Tuesday.
Johnson was released by the Patriots on Monday after having played two snaps on special teams in Sunday's 16-3 win over the Chargers in the wild-card round. He now returns to the team as a depth option in advance of Sunday's divisional-round game against the Texans.

Cowboys' DaRon Bland: Expected to be ready for OTAs
Bland (foot) is expected to recover from his left foot surgery in time to participate in the start of OTAs, though he his prioritizing a return for training camp, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Bland underwent surgery to address a left foot injury Tuesday. The issue forced him to miss Dallas' final three regular-season games. Across his 12 regular-season appearances in 2025, Bland tallied 73 tackles (45 solo) and six passes defensed, including one interception.

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Sent to IR
The Bears placed Trapilo (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Trapilo will miss the remainder of Chicago's postseason run due to a patellar injury suffered in Saturday's 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers. He was replaced at left tackle by Theo Benedet versus Green Bay, and the Bears also activated Braxton Jones (knee) from IR on Tuesday, in preparation for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Rams.

The Bears activated Jones (knee) from injured reserve Tuesday.
Jones practiced in full ahead of Saturday's 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers, but he wasn't activated in time to suit up for that contest. With top left tackle Ozzy Trapilo (knee) having suffered a season-ending injury versus Green Bay, however, Jones now joins Theo Benedet as a candidate to start at LT during Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Rams.

The Bears signed Reeves-Maybin from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.
Reeves-Maybin joining Chicago's active roster coincides with the placement of T.J. Edwards (lower leg) on season-ending IR. During Saturday's 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers, Reeves-Maybin recorded two tackles (one solo) while playing eight snaps on defense and 20 snaps on special teams. With Edwards now unavailable, Reeves-Maybin could be in line for an expanded role on defense during Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Rams.

The Bears placed Edwards (lower leg) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Edwards will miss the remainder of Chicago's postseason run due to a a fractured fibula suffered during Saturday's 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers. The loss of Edwards is particularly significant for Chicago, given that the team also placed Noah Sewell (Achilles) on IR in late December. In Edwards' stead, Amen Ogbongbemiga (concussion) may get a chance to start Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Rams, if healthy.

The Packers signed Neyor to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
Neyor will get a chance to remain in Green Bay to begin the 2026 offseason, allowing him to continue his development with the team. He spent the 2025 regular season on the Packers' practice squad and was elevated for the first time during Saturday's 31-27 wild-card loss to the Bears, in which he logged three offensive snaps without drawing a target.
