The Jaguars defense looked good in Sunday's regular-season opener, and Miller was a big reason why. He punched the ball out of KC Concepcion's hands early in the second quarter, leading to a 14-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Lawrence to Brenton Strange five plays later. Miller added a four-yard sack on Deshaun Watson on the final play of the third quarter, which was the first sack of Miller's NFL career. The 2023 fourth-rounder split his time evenly between defense and special teams last year, but Miller should see more work on the first-team defense in 2026 following Devin Lloyd's departure in the offseason to the Panthers on a three-year, $42 million contract.

Ezeiruaku tallied 10 tackles (four solo), including 0.5 sacks, during Dallas' loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Ezeiruaku was one of the Cowboys' lone bright spots during the season opener, as he lead the team in tackles and split one of the two sacks of Jaxson Dart with Jonathan Bullard. Ezeiruaku recorded just 40 tackles (20 solo), including 2.0 sacks, across 17 games last season during his rookie campaign and is already well on pace to surpass those totals.

Johnson recorded 11 tackles (five solo) and two passes defensed during Sunday's 27-13 loss at Las Vegas.

Johnson was on the field for all 68 of the Dolphins' defensive snaps in Week 1, and he was second in tackles behind only fellow rookie Jacob Rodriguez. It might still be early to declare him a reliable IDP option, but he'll be worth keeping an eye on in a Week 2 tilt at San Francisco.

McGlothern had a tryout with the Falcons on Tuesday, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

McGlothern reached an injury settlement with the Vikings at the end of August. It appears he's ready to get back on the field, though it's unknown how close he is to landing a spot on an NFL team in any capacity. The 24-year-old appeared in five regular-season games with Minnesota in 2024, logging just 19 total snaps.

The Titans hosted Mapu for a workout Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Mapu was waived from the Texans' IR with an injury settlement in late August due to an undisclosed injury. The linebacker is now healthy and ready to return to the NFL. The Titans' defense is thin at linebacker, and the Patriots' 2023 third-round pick could have a shot to revive his career in Tennessee.

Rodriguez recorded 14 tackles (five solo) during Sunday's 27-13 loss at Las Vegas.

The Raiders were able to run the ball 37 times in Week 1, setting Rodriguez up for a memorable first regular-season game as a pro. He already profiles as a strong IDP option in most formats as the Dolphins look to a Week 2 matchup against San Francisco.

Knight totaled seven tackles (five solo) and returned a fumble for a touchdown during the Bengals' win over Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Knight got off to a strong start this season, as he managed to score his first career touchdown while finishing tied for fourth on the team in tackles. The 2025 second-round pick recorded 106 tackles (58 solo), including 3.0 sacks, across 17 games and will look to keep producing next week against the Texans.

The Packers hosted Harris (foot) for a workout Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Harris was waived from the Saints' training camp roster in early August due to a foot injury, though he appears to be at full health given his participation in Tuesday's workout. The undrafted rookie out of Ole Miss is looking to catch on with a team in need of depth at defensive tackle, though Harris is more likely to be signed to a practice squad rather than an active roster.

Brisker recorded six tackles (four solo) and an interception during Sunday's 20-13 win versus the Falcons.

With Pittsburgh trailing 7-6 early in the second quarter, Brisker found himself well-positioned to pick off a poorly placed Cooper Rush pass, setting up a go-ahead Steelers touchdown. He should play a near-every down role again in Week 2 against New England.

Thieneman logged 10 tackles (eight solo) and one pass defense during the Bears' 59-37 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

Thieneman, a first-round selection of the Bears in the 2026 NFL Draft, made his regular-season debut Sunday in what turned out to be the highest-scoring Week 1 contest in NFL history. Thieneman did his part, leading the Bears in tackles while playing all 68 defensive snaps and playing 17 more snaps on special teams. The rookie figures to be busy this season if the Bears' secondary doesn't show improvement, though the team was without fellow safety Xavier Woods (groin) against Carolina.
