Burns scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Canucks.
Burns crossed the 30-point mark for the year with this performance, which snapped a seven-game slump on offense. The 41-year-old blueliner is up to 11 goals, 31 points, 156 shots on net, 83 blocked shots and a plus-30 rating over 74 appearances. The stalwart blueliner had just 29 points over 82 regular-season appearances in 2024-25 with the Hurricanes, so his move to the Avalanche this season has paid off with a slight uptick in production.
