Jacobs signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Avalanche on Wednesday.
Jacobs had 15 points in 51 contests with AHL Chicago last season. The 26-year-old defenseman hasn't played in the NHL since 2019-20 and has just three games at hockey's highest level in his career, so he should be expected to play almost all of 2022-23 with AHL Colorado.
