MacKinnon notched two assists, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.
MacKinnon set up Ross Colton on the power play to open the scoring in the first period, then did the same for Cale Makar's empty-netter in the third. With five multi-point efforts over six contests, MacKinnon's offense has lived up to expectations early in the campaign. He has two goals, nine assists, 25 shots on net, seven hits and a minus-3 rating so far. MacKinnon started last year with four goals and five assists across his first 10 games and ended the regular season at 51 tallies and 140 points -- his high shot volume will eventually lead to more goals even if he's been a little inefficient to start 2024-25.
