MacKinnon picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.
He was able to spark what offense the Avalanche got on the night, setting up tallies by Cale Makar in the first period and Nazem Kadri in the second. MacKinnon extended his point streak to six games with the performance, a stretch in which the star center has racked up three goals and 11 points, with four of his eight helpers coming on the power play.
