Makar was loaned to AHL Colorado on Monday.
Makar didn't post a point in the Avalanche's last two games, but he had one shot on net, two hits and one blocked shot. He has notched three goals and one assist in six AHL appearances this season. Makar's demotion to the minors could mean Nicolas Roy (lower body) is set to return for Wednesday's matchup against New Jersey.
