Merzlikins will defend the blue paint during Tuesday's road game versus the Flyers, Blue Jackets team reporter Jeff Svoboda reports.
Merzlikins played pretty well in the Blue Jackets' two-game set with the Bruins on Saturday and Monday, maintaining an admirable .922 save percentage over that span, but he still suffered back-to-back losses due to insufficient offensive support. The 27-year-old netminder will try to snap his personal six-game losing streak in a road matchup with a Philadelphia team that's averaging 2.86 goals per game at home this year, 23rd in the NHL.
