Krug (ankle) was moved to long-term injured reserve Tuesday, per PuckPedia.
After having ankle surgery in September to address pre-arthritic changes, Krug won't play during the 2024-25 campaign. Moving him to LTIR allows the Blues to exceed the salary cap by $6.03 million, according to PuckPedia. In Krug's absence, Justin Faulk will have increased roles this season, including more power-play time.
