Poitras was reassigned to AHL Providence on Saturday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.
Poitras will get to keep playing with the minor-league team while the Bruins' season is on pause during the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 20-year-old is likely to be called back up prior to the Bruins' Feb.22 game against the Ducks.
