Lettieri was sent down to AHL Providence on Tuesday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.
Lettieri has appeared in eight NHL games this season, in which he notched two goals, 12 shots and 19 hits while averaging 12:05 of ice time. With Mark Kastelic back from injured reserve, the 29-year-old Lettieri was the odd man out among the Bruins' forward group.
