The 23-year-old winger earned the Canadiens a point with his tying tally late in the third period, but Caufield couldn't solve Semyon Varlamov in the shootout. Caufield is off to a blistering start this season. racking up six goals and seven points in six games, and he seems headed for a breakout after posting a career-high 28 goals and 65 points in 2023-24.
