Caufield scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs. He finished with one shot on net and two hits over 18:14 of ice time.
Caufield wristed one in from the left circle after a feed from Chris Wideman. It was his third goal over the last six games while on the man-advantage unit. Caufield's season is best viewed as before and after the arrival of interim head coach Martin St. Louis. Since the new coach came on board, the rookie has 24 points in 20 games; before that, Caufield had just eight in 30 appearances. He's never gone more than one game between points under St. Louis.
