Heineman scored a power-play goal while adding two shots, one block and one hit in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Heineman worked his way into an open area in the slot and buried a feed for his first NHL goal with one second left on a power play. He also picked up his second minor penalty in as many games. Heineman returned to duty on the fourth line after being a healthy scratch in Thursday's loss to Boston.
