Mesar scored twice in AHL Laval's 5-4 overtime loss to Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Mesar ended a three-game slump with the effort. That was his worst stretch of the young season so far. The winger has five goals, three assists, 16 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 12 appearances. Mesar will need to show a higher level of offense consistently to get in the mix for a call-up.
