Perreault cleared waivers Thursday.
The Canadiens are currently undecided on whether or not they'll reassign the veteran to AHL Laval. If Perreault is traded or sent down to the Rocket, a corresponding update will follow. He has five points in 18 games with the big club this year and hasn't scored a goal since his hat trick Oct. 23 against Detroit.
