Kapanen was reassigned to AHL Laval on Saturday.

The 21-year-old center had two assists across 18 regular-season games with the Canadiens and chipped in with an assist in three playoff games versus Washington. Kapanen spent most of the season with Timra IK of the Swedish Hockey League, where he registered 15 goals and 20 assists in 36 regular-season games.
