Lankinen made 38 saves in a 2-1 loss to Ottawa on Tuesday.
He wobbled in the first, allowing two goals in 15 seconds, but shook that off and was perfect from that point forward. Lankinen last won Dec. 29 in Seattle. He's in the starter's seat because Thatcher Demko (lower body) is on injured reserve. Lankinen is a tough activation due to the Canucks' 0-6-2 run over their last eight games. He has it in him, though -- those 25 wins last season were real.
