Chisholm was scratched for the 10th straight game in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Flyers.
After the arrival of Cole Hutson, the Capitals have five left-shot blueliners and nine total defensemen on the roster. That has left Chisholm as one of the regular scratches, even with fellow lefty Rasmus Sandin playing his off-side. Chisholm hasn't been anything more than a part-time option in his first year with the Capitals, earning seven points, 20 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 26 appearances.
