Miroshnichenko was reassigned to AHL Hershey following Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Lightning.
Miroshnichenko played in Saturday's game but failed to record a point for the third straight contest to begin his NHL career. If the Capitals get injured forwards back following the holiday break, the 19-year-old winger may remain in the AHL.
