Miroshnichenko was loaned to AHL Hershey on Saturday.
In a corresponding move, Washington brought up netminder Hunter Shepard from the minors. Miroshnichenko hasn't earned a point in four games with the Capitals this season, but he has been credited with six shots on goal and six hits while averaging 10:23 of ice time.
