Dowd (upper body) won't play against Tampa Bay on Saturday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Despite participating in the morning skate, Dowd remains day-to-day and will miss his third straight game. He has contributed one goal, four assists, 21 shots on net and 33 hits across 19 appearances this season. Once he's ready to play, Dowd will probably replace Sonny Milano on Washington's fourth line.
