Fucale was waived by the Capitals on Sunday, per CapFriendly.
Fucale posted an impressive .924 save percentage and 1.74 GAA in four NHL appearances last season. He'll likely clear waivers and head to AHL Hershey but he should be the first goalie recalled by Washington if the team needs an injury replacement.
