Vancouver released DeKeyser from his professional tryout contract Tuesday.
DeKeyser was among 13 roster cuts by the Canucks. He will have to find another team quickly if he wants to play in the NHL this season. DeKeyser supplied 11 assists, 57 shots on goal, 102 blocks and 49 hits in 59 games with Detroit last year.
