McGinn posted an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Sharks.
McGinn may not be an every-game player for the Ducks, but he has the edge over Ross Johnston for a fourth-line spot for now. The 30-year-old McGinn offers a bit of grit and a veteran presence on an otherwise young roster. The winger was limited to three points, 37 hits and 24 shots on net in 24 games last season, which was cut short by a disc surgery to repair an injury in his back.
