Gauthier scored early in the third period on a feed from Leo Carlsson. That pair of forwards could open the season in a top-line role, though it's no guarantee they both stay there if they slump. Gauthier had an assist in his NHL debut in April, and a strong campaign in 2024-25 could earn him some attention in the Calder Trophy voting.
