Simon posted an assist in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Sharks.
The Ducks' lone scoring play featured a couple of firsts -- Gerald Mayhew netted his first goal for Anaheim with Simon picking up his first assist with the club. The 27-year-old Simon is more of a defensive forward, so he shouldn't be expected to contribute much offense, especially once the Ducks get some players back. He has 10 points, 69 shots on net, 57 hits and 28 PIM through 57 contests this season, most of which was spent on the Penguins' fourth line.
