Vatrano won't play Friday against Colorado to attend the birth of his child and was placed on the injured non-roster list.
Vatrano's designation allowed the team to bring Jansen Harkins up from the minors, while Ross Johnston will also move into the lineup, likely in Vatrano's third-line spot. With the Ducks heading back home to face the Kings on Sunday, it's possible Vatrano will rejoin the team in time for that matchup, though he could also wait to return until a matchup with San Jose on Tuesday.
