Eakin signed a professional tryout offer with the Flames on Sunday.
Eakin spent the last two seasons in Buffalo, totaling 19 points while averaging 13:20 of ice time through 115 appearances. The 31-year-old forward will enter a competition for a bottom-six role in training camp.
