Zary scored a goal on three shots and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Canucks.

Zary helped out on MacKenzie Weegar's equalizer in the third period. In overtime, Zary danced around the Canucks' defense and goalie Arturs Silovs to net the game-winning tally. The 23-year-old is off to a good start in 2024-25 as he looks to take on a prominent role for the Flames. He began the season on a line with Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman, but Zary could get more minutes later in the year if he moves to center. As a rookie last year, he produced 34 points and 90 shots on net in 63 appearances while averaging 15:16 of ice time.
