Zary scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens.
Calgary head coach Ryan Huska had demoted Zary to the fourth line during the previous game, but the coach moved the winger back to top line Tuesday. It was a prescient decision by the coach, as Zary gave the Flames the first lead of the game. He collected a fluky bounce and beat a screened Sam Montembeault early in the second period. The tally snapped a nine-game run without a marker for Zary. The 23-year-old forward has three goals and five assists through 13 outings.
