Wolf penned a two-year, $1.7 million contract with the Flames on Tuesday, per PuckPedia.

Interestingly, Wolf's deal is a two-way contract in the first year, which is a little surprising when you consider he could open the 2024-25 campaign as the No. 1 option ahead of Dan Vladar, who struggled to produce last year. For his part, the 23-year-old Wolf has just 18 games of NHL experience in which he is sporting an 8-7-1 record, 3.03 GAA and .896 save percentage. Perhaps the decision to sign Wolf to a two-way deal is an indication the team is actively looking for another NHL backstop on the trade market.
