Rooney (undisclosed) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Canucks.
Rooney took a hard hit from J.T. Miller in the first period and was unable to get back into the game. If Rooney misses additional time, Matthew Coronato would likely enter the lineup. The Flames' next game is at home Saturday versus the Flyers in the first half of a back-to-back.
