Morton was moved to waivers Tuesday to be sent to AHL Calgary.
Morton generated 20 goals and 45 points in 70 regular-season games with AHL Calgary in 2024-25. He also scored a goal against the Kings on April 17 in his NHL debut. If he clears, the 26-year-old forward will probably spend most of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.
