Clendening signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Flyers on Wednesday.
Clendening has spent the last three years in the Blue Jackets' organization, but he hasn't played in the NHL since 2018-19. The 28-year-old defenseman will get a change of scenery by signing with the Flyers, but he'll still likely have a hard time making it onto an NHL roster. Expect Clendening to spend the bulk of 2021-22 with AHL Lehigh Valley.
