Pederson (upper body) was designated for waivers by the Flyers on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Pederson evidently has been cleared of his upper-body injury in order to be waived for the purpose of reassignment to the minors. It's unlikely the 28-year-old center will get picked up off the waiver wire, so expect him to land with AHL Lehigh Valley, where he will likely play the bulk of his games this season.
