Konecny scored twice on five shots, doled out two hits and added two PIM in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Flames.
Konecny's first goal was a shorthanded tally, and his second came on the power play. The 27-year-old had more shorthanded goals (six) than power-play goals (four) last season in a career year that saw him score 33 times in 76 contests. While there are talented young players on Philadelphia's roster, Konecny is the most consistent established forward. He's at two goals, nine shots, five hits and a minus-1 rating through two contests.
