Geertsen was waived Saturday for the purpose of assigning him to AHL Henderson.
Geertsen recorded six goals and 108 PIM in 58 regular-season outings with AHL Henderson in 2023-24. He will likely spend most, if not all, of the upcoming campaign in the minors.
