Lavoie was sent to AHL Henderson on Wednesday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Lavoie recorded a hit in 8:34 of ice time in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Buffalo after being recalled from the minors. He'll head back to the minors a day later after the Golden Knights acquired Cole Smith from Nashville on Tuesday.
