Lundqvist (heart) is retiring from the NHL.
Lundqvist's illustrious career featured everything but a Stanley Cup, but it unfortunately came to a premature end due to a heart condition discovered prior to the start of the 2020-21 campaign. The future Hall-of-Fame goaltender had a 459-310-96 record, 2.43 GAA and .918 save percentage in 887 career NHL appearances, all with the Rangers. He was even better under the bright lights of the postseason, with a 2.30 GAA and .921 save percentage over 130 starts, including a 6-2 record in Game 7s and no more than one goal allowed in any of those six victories.
