Schmaltz picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Rangers.

The 28-year-old winger has benefitted early from regular shifts alongside the red-hot Clayton Keller and Barrett Hayton. While Schmaltz is still looking for his first goal of 2024-25, he has four helpers in three games while his linemates have lit the lamp six times between them. Schmaltz also has a secure spot on Utah's top power-play unit, putting him in position to top the career-high 61 points (22 goals, 39 assists) he recorded in 2023-24.
