Palmieri scored an unassisted goal and posted a plus-3 rating in Monday's 6-2 win over the Avalanche.
Palmieri gave the Islanders the lead in the final moments of the first period after an incredible individual effort, as he stole the puck in his own end and coolly scored past Alexandar Georgiev. This was Palmieri's first goal of the campaign, and the veteran winger was due to find the back of the net sooner rather than later since he's already recorded 13 shots through his first three outings.
