Maccelli delivered an assist Saturday in a 5-3 loss to the Lightning.
Maccelli has quietly put up an assist in each of his last three games. He is coming off a 39-point campaign in Toronto last season and has the playmaking to get back to the mid-50 range if the stars align over Long Island. Maccelli is motivated to make that happen. He's on a one-year contract and out to prove an extension is worth a team's time and cash.
