Gustafsson (lower body) won't play Wednesday versus the Oilers, Murat Ares of The Athletic reports.
Gustafsson is not a lock to play on a regular basis anyway, so it may be difficult to know when he's recovered from his injury. When the 24-year-old is able to play, he'll likely be limited to a fourth-line role. The Jets' fourth line will consist of Morgan Barron, Rasmus Kupari and Alex Iafallo in Wednesday's season opener in Edmonton.
