Morrissey scored a power-play goal on four shots and went minus-3 in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals.
Morrissey tied the game at 2-2 with his blast at 2:03 of the third period, but the Capitals took the lead seven minutes later. Morrissey has put up two goals and an assist in seven games during December. He's at 11 points (five on the power play), 60 shots on net, 51 hits, 33 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 29 contests overall. While his offense is a bit light, the physical play and power-play role make him an intriguing option in fantasy formats that reward those areas.
