Pionk (lower body) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Capitals, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Pionk skated for a second consecutive day during Wednesday's morning skate, but he'll be forced to miss at least one game due to his lower-body injury. He's considered day-to-day, and his next opportunity to suit up will be Friday in Carolina.
