Kempe scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Monday's 8-7 overtime loss to the Senators.
Both his points came in the second period as the Kings grabbed a 4-2 lead they couldn't make stick. Kempe is off to a strong start to the season with a goal and three points in three games, and the 28-year-old's spot on the top line and top power-play unit gives him an excellent chance of repeating the career-high 75 points (28 goals, 47 assists) he compiled over 77 regular-season games in 2023-24.
