Kopitar (lower body) was activated off injured reserve Saturday.
The injury cost Kopitar 11 games in what could be his last season in the NHL. The 38-year-old will likely return to his roles on the first line and top power-play unit. He had six goals and 15 assists in 37 outings before his injury. To make room for Kopitar, the Kings placed Alex Turcotte (upper body) on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
